An eventful Tuesday
Justin had received tickets to Wicked for his birthday, and yesterday was the day. We decided to make a day of it, so Justin took the day off.
“Day” count in the previous sentence: five.
We started with breakfast at Avalon (for those not in the area, it’s a local 24-hour pancake place). I ordered the “Lite Appetite,” which consisted of three eggs (over medium), four slices of bacon, and three huge pancakes. Not so lite — I only ate the eggs and a pancake.
Then we headed to the Museum of Science and Industry … the Body Worlds 2 exhibit opened up last week and we wanted to check it out. We saw Body Worlds the first time it came through Chicago and were pretty impressed.
I snuck a few photos… shhh.
The museum closed at 4pm, so we got in the car and headed to the Theatre District to scope out the area. Traffic was unbelievably good, so when we got there had some time to kill. We walked around for a bit, and then grabbed some food at Au Bon Pain. We hung around there for a while, then headed to the theatre.
All I can say is that the play was FANTASTIC.
I never know how to end these posts without being abrupt, but I’m tired of writing. I have a post brewing about my ferret Scooby and the shit I’ve been dealing with in regards to him the past few weeks, but again… tired of typing.
