99 Seinfeld References

Well, it’s about time I posted this here since everyone is already posting it on their sites.

Now that we got Kiersten’s site back up with a bandwidth upgrade, it’s been fun watching the stats. Since last night she’s had over 4000 visitors on her blog post alone, and the number increases by quite a bit every time I refresh her stats.

[EDIT] View count increased to over 7,500 in the past few hours

I’ll admit — I find Seinfeld amusing but I’m not going to call myself a fan (gasp!). I only recognize a handful of these references. How many can you name? Here’s the answer key, if you get stuck.

new ceiling fan

Due to a pretty crappy (ha!) series of events late Friday night, most of Saturday was spent shopping for both a new toilet for Justin’s bathroom and a new ceiling fan for the dining room. The replacement of the two are, in fact, related.

After running around Saturday to a variety of home improvement stores, we made it back home just in time for me to run back out to pick up Lynn and head to the UIC Pavillion for the third bout for the Windy City Rollers. As usual, it was a fun time.

Sunday wasn’t too eventful. Justin worked on getting the new fan working, and then we had a late lunch at Kawa again (we went on Friday as well). A bit later we went to Oberweis for some ice cream. They have the best chocolate peanut butter ice cream ever.

Cooking Mama on iPhone

Cooking Mama on iPhone

Overall pretty fun — true to both the Wii and DS versions. There are a few actions that I keep failing (Peel while hot!) because what I do on the screen just isn’t registering. I’m curious to find out if I take the screen protector off if I do better.

I haven’t got too far in the game yet, but I do know that one of the major complaints is that there aren’t enough recipes. I’m sure more will come in future updates.

One thing I miss is Mama’s voice when you complete a stage. She’s mute in the iPhone version.
