3 Cheers for Me!

3 cheers for me!

I finished the World’s Largest Corn Maze! I got donuts, too!

Saturday:

Yes, on Saturday we went with some friends to Richardson Farm to make our way through the world’s largest corn maze. We had attempted this a few years ago but the weather was cold and rainy so we gave up. This year the weather was almost a little too warm — at least too warm for what I was wearing. Sunny and in the 80s and I had on jeans and a t-shirt.

The theme for the maze this year is Election ’08.

I have some more photos from the corn maze here.

After the maze we had people over at the house for pizza and drinks. It was a good time.

Sunday:

After the disappointing Bears game, we made a mad dash for Woodstock to do some apple picking. I think we have enough apples to last a while — we’ll be sick of them before long. I got an extra peck of the “windfall” apples so I can make a batch of applesauce.

After that, we went to Golden Corral for dinner. The food was good, but my goodness were people rude. I don’t like eating at most buffet-style restaurants mostly because of how most people act. They let their kids run wild and manhandle the food, their manners just go out the window… people get really possessive and mean when you get between them and their food.

I think we’re planning on hitting Six Flags next Saturday, but other than that I feel it will be a pretty uneventful week.
